COWBOY CHILI

Servings: Will feed a family

Ingredients

Canola Oil

2 green peppers, chopped

1 large onion, chopped

1 lb. ground beef

2-3 large cans peeled tomatoes

3-4 cans kidney beans

1 bay leaf

1 tbsp. brown sugar

1 tbsp. white vinegar

salt

cumin

chili powder

garlic powder

red chili flakes

 

Directions

Heat canola oil in large soup pot. Add green peppers and onions and sauce until translucent.  Add ground beef and brown, stirring frequently.

Squish 2 cans of the tomatoes in your hands and add to the meat mixture.  Blend the other can to make a juice and add.  Add remaining ingredients, all to taste (good luck).

Serve topped with fresh chopped onion, sour cream, cheddar cheese. and or oyster crackers (all are optional).  Delish!
